Please note that Calvary Clinic is no longer functioning with a doctor. This site is up only for historical information. BUILDING PROJECT From mid 2006 till about May 2007, a building in Wamena was renovated by Paul Faulkner, from an unfinished girls' dormitory to become usable as a medical facility. It now has two exam rooms, a pharmacy, a lab, an emergency/procedure room (three beds or so), and two overnight rooms (with two beds each). Running water has been plumbed for the exam rooms, lab, and procedure rooms, electricity has been installed by the local electrical company (including poles to the building)- however, the power is very unstable and in the evenings the power isn't strong enough to run the medical equipment. Cabinetry for each room is completed, exam tables have been purchased or built, and furnishings and office supplies for the receptionist/front office purchased.
